THCA carriers and tracking: who carries hemp flower, and what to do when a parcel stalls

Short answer

The Postal Service carries hemp on conditions, UPS only for contract shippers and FedEx not at all. How to read a tracking status, when a parcel counts as stuck, and who calls the carrier when it does.

Short answer. Each carrier writes its own rules. The Postal Service carries domestic hemp when the sender meets its conditions. UPS takes hemp only from contract shippers. FedEx refuses hemp flower. We name the carrier and service on the call, send tracking when the service is tracked, and deal with the carrier ourselves if a parcel stalls.

Checked Oct. 4, 2026.

Who carries hemp flower

Carrier Its own rule for hemp Source
U.S. Postal Service Domestic hemp and hemp products are mailable when the mailer complies with all applicable federal, state and local laws and keeps lab results, licenses or compliance reports for 3 years. No international, APO, FPO or DPO mail. Publication 52, section 453.37
UPS Hemp is a restricted item, accepted “on a contractual basis for shippers with regular volume and the ability to comply with all applicable laws.” UPS prohibited and restricted items, archived Feb. 13, 2025
FedEx Prohibits raw or unrefined hemp plants and their parts, naming hemp flowers. FedEx Service Guide 2026

UPS’s live policy page did not load for us on Oct. 4, so the UPS row cites the latest archived copy. A carrier’s rule can change faster than a statute; the Operator tells you which carrier is carrying your parcel before anything is packed.

All three rules point back to the federal definition of hemp. On Dec. 11, 2026, that definition starts counting THCA (Public Law 119-37, sec. 781), and high-THCA flower stops being hemp. No carrier will move it to consumers after that, and neither will we.

Reading a tracking status

When the service is tracked, the number reaches you once the parcel is on its way. Look it up on the carrier’s own website, typed in yourself.

Status (wording varies by carrier) What it usually means
Label created, not yet in system The label exists; the carrier has not scanned the parcel yet
Accepted or picked up The carrier has it. The published service estimate starts here
In transit, arrived at or departed a facility Moving between sorting hubs. A day without a scan is normal
Out for delivery On the truck for your address today
Notice left A signature was needed and nobody eligible was there; see shipped to your door
Available for pickup Waiting at the post office, held for a limited time
Delivered Scanned as delivered. If you cannot find it, call us the same day

A message by text or email asking you to pay a “redelivery fee” or confirm card details to release a parcel is not from us. We never ask for payment that way.

When a parcel stalls or goes missing

  1. Call us with your order number. We hold the label, the receipt and the carrier account, so we open the case with the carrier.
  2. For Postal Service parcels, a Missing Mail search can be submitted starting 7 days from mailing. It needs the sender and recipient addresses, the box size and type, the tracking number and a description of the contents.
  3. Insured services. Priority Mail, Priority Mail Express and Ground Advantage include up to $100 of insurance with most shipments. The Postal Service asks for claims for missing or damaged contents “no later than 60 days from the date of mailing.” Keep the box and packaging if anything arrives damaged.
  4. What we do next depends on what the carrier finds. We agree it with you by phone, and our terms set out who carries the risk in transit.

Before you trust a forum thread

People who look up THCA shipping on Reddit and other forums usually want three answers: which carrier a seller uses, whether a signature is needed, and what happens if a parcel is lost or held. Threads are first-hand but undated and unverified, and carrier rules change. Our answers: the carrier is named on the call, the signature depends on the service bought, and a lost parcel is ours to chase. We will not tell you how to avoid a carrier’s screening or a state’s law.

We take Order Requests from every state. Whether you may receive hemp THCA flower depends on your state’s law, so check it before you order. Federal law treats THCA flower as marijuana from December 11, 2026, and we stop shipping it then.
